What is prop trading?

How a program, a trading account and the trader's share fit together.

The RiseUp model

In RiseUp, a trader selects a program with a defined account size and risk rules. The program sets drawdown limits, evaluation requirements and the basis for rewards. The trader chooses the instrument, direction, position size and exit timing.

The program price and account size are different amounts. Selecting a $10,000 account does not mean transferring $10,000 to the platform. Access has a separate price shown before checkout. Account size is used for trading and program calculations; it is not itself a withdrawable amount.

From evaluation to a funded account

Progress depends on realized results, profitable days and compliance with limits. A favorable move in an open position does not complete a phase. Funded accounts have additional payout requirements.

  • Basic: two evaluation phases with 5% and 8% profit targets.
  • Advanced: one evaluation phase with a 10% target.
  • Funded: a format without evaluation phases, with a trailing loss limit and a consistency rule.

Results and rewards

The standard trader share is 80%. An upgrade to 90% can be selected when configuring the program. Rewards depend on trading results and meeting the requirements: purchasing access does not guarantee profit or passing.

Before purchasing, you can learn the terminal using a free demo. Its funds and results are virtual, but it lets you practice order entry, protection settings and the effect of fees.
