Price movement result

PnL measures profit or loss. For a long, the price result equals asset quantity multiplied by exit price minus entry price. For a short, the order of the prices is reversed. While a position is open, Mark replaces the exit price and the result is called unrealized PnL. It changes with the market and affects equity and account risk limits.

Long PnL = Q × (Pexit − Pentry); Short PnL = Q × (Pentry − Pexit)

What a closed trade shows

In trade history, a closed trade's realized result includes entry and exit fees. Funding is posted separately to balance and is not included in that closing row. The sum of trade cards can therefore differ from the balance change over the same period. For the full result, reconcile closes, fees, separate funding settlements and other account operations. An open-position PnL card shows the current price result, not final profit after all expenses.

Return relative to margin

The percentage shown on a card is calculated against the margin of that position or closed portion. Leverage is already reflected in the margin amount: do not multiply the result by leverage again. For a partial close, the calculation uses margin allocated to the closed quantity rather than the entire original position. If margin cannot be determined reliably, the percentage is not replaced with an invented value.

ROI = PnL ÷ Margin × 100%

Example and sharing

A 0.1 ETH long opens at 2,000 USDT and closes at 2,100 USDT. Its price result is 10 USDT. On a new Basic account, entry and exit fees are 0.02 and 0.02 USDT after rounding, leaving 9.96 USDT in the closing row. At 5×, margin is 40 USDT and ROI is 24.9%. This example has no funding. In Share PnL, select USDT or percent: the selected mode is used when copying or downloading the PNG.
