Daily loss protection

How the daily threshold works and how to monitor risk across the account.

How the daily limit works

The daily limit restricts the decline in account funds during a UTC trading day. It equals 5% of the initial account size for both Basic stages and 3% for Advanced. The Funded program has no separate daily limit, but a total trailing loss limit still applies. Having no daily threshold does not mean losses are unrestricted.

The threshold calculation

A fixed percentage of the initial account size is subtracted from equity at the start of the day. For example, a 10,000 USDT Basic account with 10,200 USDT of day-start equity has a 9,700 USDT threshold: 10,200 − 500. Intraday equity gains do not raise that day's threshold. A new day starts at 00:00 UTC; changing the chart time zone does not change the risk-day boundary.

Daily Floor = Day-start Equity − Initial Balance × Daily Limit

What the check includes

New accounts compare the floor against equity: balance including open PnL. Daily and static total limits breach when the floor is reached; trailing limits breach below it. Existing accounts retain their assigned rule version. Fees and funding debits can also reduce headroom. Avoid placing Stop Loss directly on the account boundary: spread and the execution price can change the outcome.
